AirBus Balloon Rides will host its second annual Lawrenceville Liftoff in conjunction with the Day at the Strip car show on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19.  Up to 25 participating teams will compete for cash awards in a Hare and Hound Race on Friday and a Fly-In Task on Saturday.  The action begins two hours before sunset each day, and, at dusk on Saturday, an evening glow of all the contestant balloons and five special shapes will light up the field of the Mid-American Center in a spectacular finale of ballooning elegance.  AirBus Balloon Rides will provide tethered rides in the afternoons for guests of all ages, and food vendors and merchandisers offering T-shirts, hats, pins and balloon memorabilia will be on hand throughout each day.  Whether you’re a pilot or a fan, you won’t want to miss these two days of exciting competition and balloonist camaraderie!  These exhibitions of pilot expertise and the quiet beauty of the evening glow promise a memorable weekend of dazzling colors and thrilling action!!  Come early and stay late!  Mark your calendars and don’t be late for the Lawrenceville Liftoff!
